Gargilius Antiquus - Präfekt von Judäa?

Der Name an sich taucht im Biographischen Index der Antike mehrfach auf - nun wird er aufgrund einer Inschrift dem römischen Präfekten in Judäa unmittelbar vor der Bar Kochba- Revolte 132/136 zugeordnet.

Antiques’s name was first found in an inscription some 70 years ago, but mention of the territory he ruled over was not preserved.

Gibt es denn noch weitere Hinweise auf Gargilius Antiquus oder zumindest seine Gens?

Möglicherweise kam Gargilius Antiquus aus Africa (Tunesien):

Originally, Gargilius Antiquus may have come from North Africa. His name suggests that he belonged to the tribe of the Velina — nobles from northeastern Tunisia, long established in the Roman senate. Ancient sources reveal that he began his career in the far-flung Roman territories as a relatively junior governor, in Arabia, somewhere after 115 C.E., during the reign of Emperor Trajan.
